Last night I convinced Nathan to go on a run with me. It was a beautiful day, sunny and in the 60s. We took Maestro and set up to run to Moes Southwest Grill, eat dinner, and then run home. I decided that this would be for my Hitchhikers Haunted 10k Virtual Race, supporting Give the Kids the World. The medal is awesome: huge, and it glows in the dark!Running to Moes was quite uneventful, and turned out to be exactly 5k! Ha! That amused me, maybe even a little bit too much. We ran through a neighborhood for part of the run and saw some festive Halloween decorations. I want to get that Mickey blow-up pumpkin!
We got to Moes, ordered, and ate dinner (burrito bowl with rice, black and pinto beans, lettuce, cilantro, and guacamole, along with some chips). Maestro had a cup of ice water 🙂
After eating, we headed back home. We were almost there when my phone died, but luckily the Runkeeper app saved from where it ended.
It was a great run and beautiful weather. We all survived, even though Nathan is complaining of being a bit sore today.
I plan on running a bit more today before the Trick-or-Treaters come. Happy Halloween!
