Upcoming Races

I have a lot of upcoming races. Here is a recap of things that I am excited for! Feel free to join me for any of these races!

Monday, November 11 – Veteran’s Day 11k
This race is at Burke Lake Park and is pet-friendly, so I think I will take Maestro to run it with me 🙂

Sunday, November 17 –
RidgeRunners Turkey Trot 10k
I ran this race last year with Marty, all while dressed like a turkey. Madre might run this with me this year. We shall see.

Thursday, November 28 –
Ashburn Farm 2k/5k/10k
Since no one is coming over for Thanksgiving (and since I’m not cooking a turkey anyways), I have time to run a race on Thanksgiving morning. This race is part of a partnership with US Road Running, and benefits needy and vulnerable children in Uganda Africa. The Crossroads UMC fully funds 72 elementary children and 75 secondary children with needed school tuition, uniforms and play clothes, all school supplies and transportation plus medical care. Come out and join me with at this race before you stuff your face!

Saturday, November 30 –
Drumstix Dash 8k
This race is at Burke Lake Park and is my first official partnership race as a US Road Running Ambassador. Everyone should come join me at this race and support the Housing & Community Services of NoVA!

Saturday, December 7 –
Forest Park Orchestra 5k Run for Music
This race is benefiting my friend’s high school orchestra. I’m hoping to be able to PR at this race, and maybe even place! This is taking place at Occoquan Northern Virginia Regional Park.

Sunday, December 8 –
VA Runner Blue & Gray 1/2 Marathon
I really felt like I needed to get one more half marathon before Dopey in January and this is a pretty popular race.
