Fruit Crisp for breakfast or dessert!

Picture

Here is not so much a recipe, but a framework for a yummy fruit crisp. Feel free to use whatever fruit you happen to have 🙂 Some people may want to use bananas on top after the crisp has been baked, if so, make sure you get the right bananas for what you want. People may be wondering are there seeds in banana? They can find the answer to that over at websites like preparedcooks.com if they are in two minds about choosing this fruit (it is actually labelled as a berry for anyone wondering!) Make this crisp your own, this is just a guideline, you may find fruits that you would enjoy more and if you do then it may be best that you use those instead.

Ingredients:
1 peach, chopped
1 handful of berries (I used raspberries and blueberries)
1 cup oats
1 tablespoon honey/agave/maple syrup (more/less, to taste)
pinch salt
dash of cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1 tablespoon coconut oil + more for greasing baking dish (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease baking dish(es).
1. Cut your peach into chunks
2. Mix your peaches and berries together
3. Add fruit to baking dish
4. In a small bowl, mix together oats, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and liquid sweetener of choice until the mixture is crumbly.
5. Pour topping over fruit and dab a small amount of coconut oil on top. *Alternative: mix the oat topping IN with the fruit before baking.
6. Bake for 25 minutes and enjoy!
