Disney’s Boardwalk Area

Located between Epcot and Hollywood Studios is the home to Disney’s Boardwalk. This area is houses the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Resort, and is near the Swan & Dolphin. There are restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Nathan and I enjoy spending time at the Boardwalk, walking around and taking in the sites. There are some swings on the beach that we like to sit in and relax from the crowds of the park. In the evenings, there are beach parties with movies and s’mores! We also always see people putting around on rented 4-person Surrey bicycles.

If you are at Hollywood Studios or Epcot, there is a short walk to get to the Boardwalk area, or you can take a boat that has multiple stops in different areas.

We will usually walk to  Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for their breakfast buffet. We have also dined at the Captain’s Grille at the Yacht Club and the new Italian restaurant – Trattoria al Forno.

While wandering around, you get to walk by the awesome sand-bottom pool at the Beach Club and wish that you could go swimming there, along with the huge slide that comes out of the Pirate Ship.

Another landmark at the Boardwalk is Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar. We went years ago and again this trip. It is a fun place to go for some great night music and lots of fun!

  1. I’ve seen and walked around it before but never stayed there. I really want to stay in one (or all) the Epcot area resorts. Jelly Rolls is supposed to be fantastic. High on my list for a night out without the kids.

  2. We LOVE the BoardWalk area! We usually stay at the Swan and Dolphin (yay Starwood points!) but we got a great rate last Friday night at the Yacht Club and really had a wonderful time in the Stormalong Bay pool. That sandy bottom is so wonderful and the slide is amazing!

  3. Disney’s boardwalk is a very charming place. It looks like you went at a good time when it wasn’t too busy!

  4. […] After a day at Epcot, Nathan and I were hungry for a dinner.,but didn’t have a reservation anywhere. And, unfortunately, Tutto Italia (where we originally wanted to eat) didn’t have any availability. We went on the MyDisneyExperience App and saw that there was availability at Captain’s Grille. We had eaten there before and enjoyed it, so we took the nice walk from the International Gateway exit of Epcot to the restaurant. Note: there is also boat access around the Boardwalk area. […]
