The Washington, D.C. Green Festival Expo is taking place the weekend of May 13-14, 2017! This festival is America’s largest and longest-running sustainability and green living event. It offers something for everyone, including a selection of products and services to work green, play green and live green from food, fashion and health to energy, construction and design. There will be vegan (yay!), vegetarian, organic foods; hands-on demos; educational activities; and inspirational speakers.
“Lesson Plans to Late Night” is a one-man comedy show about Lucas Bohm’s transition from elementary school teacher to national touring comedian. It is truly a one-of-a-kind comedy experience combining live stand up comedy and visual images. He will be performing in Washington, D.C. from May 3-13, 2017!
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a museum that seeks to understand American history through the lens of the African American experience. It is the newest Smithsonian museum in Washington, D.C., as it just opened in September 2016.
I had to take a long hiatus on my running due to my pregnancy. I did not have the energy to run while pregnant, so it has been about six months since I’ve been really active. That is about to change, though, because I have a lot of upcoming races to prepare for!

It is finally after Thanksgiving and that means that it is officially the holiday season! I am not traveling at all this holiday season, so I will have lots of time to relax and enjoy all the festive offerings around the Washington, D.C. area in December. Here...
Teachers and students are heading back to school soon, which means less time for fun in the sun for me. But, we do need a break from school and work, so it’s time to find some fun weekend activities.
