Glowstick 5k at Old Mill Park

I always love evening races, especially when they are somewhere scenic. Bishop’s Events has quite a few evening races at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, VA, and Maestro and I love to go and run! Glowstick 5k It was  a good evening for a run. Not to hot (just a little humid), but the sky was clear and I was excited to watch the sun set over the river. The race started at 6:45pm while it was still light out, but the sky was beginning…

Starlight 5k

Starlight 5k Maestro and I ran the Bishop’s Events Starlight 5k at Prince William Forest Park. The race started at 6:15 and was a trail run with some hilly sections. We’ve done this course before so we knew what to expect, but it still can get a bit hard with all the ups and downs! Maestro was a champ even though it got to be a little humid. Bishop’s Events holds a glowstick runs a few times a year and they are always really fun. These evening races generally take place at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg, on a paved bike path that runs right next to the river. There is an awesome view of the water and I caught the sunset at the turn-around point! Maestro…

Mother’s Day 5k

Mother’s Day 5k Mother’s Day brought a 5k race down in Fredericksburg, VA and was put on by Bishop’s Events. This race began and finished at Old Mill Park, and went by the river, which I think is so pretty! Last year I ran the Glowstick 5k at this location  and remember it to be a good course. Bishop’s Events are easy going and you can pick your bib up the morning of the race. There were also a lot of people registering on site. This…
