2016 Cherry Blossom 10-Miler Race Recap

The Cherry Blossom 10-miler is an annual race that takes place in Washington, D.C. in early April. If you are lucky, it coincides with the peak bloom of the beautiful Cherry Blossoms that line the water basin and other areas around town. Unfortunately, we had strange weather this year and peak bloom was about a week or so earlier than the race. Georgetown 10-Miler

Georgetown 10-miler I headed down to Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) early (as in the sun was rising) Sunday last week for my first 10-miler in a long time. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-miler

This race was a blast even though it was my first night race and I was already exhausted! From not really getting any sleep the 2 nights prior, to running the 5k that morning, and walking around Magic Kingdom that afternoon, I knew things were going to be interesting. But it all worked out! Marty, Heidi, and I decided to dress up as characters from Peter Pan. I was Mr. Smee, Marty was Hook, and Heidi was the Croc. Me as Mr. Smee Marty and…

Moose on the Loose 10-miler

While in New Hampshire I ran a 10-mile race. I was super excited to find this race in Nashua where we were staying for a wedding. I got up early and got to the starting point. The race was a trail run through Mine Falls Park. The course was 4 loops through the park. Towards the end of my first loop I tripped and fell. I ended up skinning my knees and hands pretty bad, but I knew I had to keep going. At the…
