Well & Good Studio

Friday night I had the opportunity to go check out the Well & Good Studio in Leesburg, VA. It was a festive night of trying out natural products for skin and face, eating some delicious food, and networking! Well & Good is housed in a traditional log cabin that was reassembled in its current location. It was such a quaint little shop in the middle of a busy restaurant and boutique-type shopping center. There was a delicious spread of food for us to eat. Appetizers…

South Block Cafe Juice Cleanse

Nathan and I decided to try a 3-day juice cleanse to help jumpstart our healthy eating habits that had been lost to busy-ness and fast(er) food. We thought it would be a good idea to cleanse our bodies of the toxins that had been building up. We picked up our juices at South Block Cafe, located in Arlington, VA, the day before we were to start our cleanse. We each had a box with our name on it, filled with 18-juices that were to become our…

Boating at Lake Anna

I had the chance to go boating at Lake Anna. It was about an hour drive from my house. While out boating, I had a chance to go tubing. I took turns going with my nephew, sister, and niece. At one point the boat was going 45mph. Let me tell you, it is not fun flying off a tube going that fast! Hitting the water hurts, but it was worth it! In one part shallow part of the lake there is a volleyball net set…

What’s Up Wednesday

On Wednesday I met Kendra, Haley, and Abi for pedicures. Then we went to the National Zoo and saw Bao Bao, the new Baby Panda! Later that evening we went to a pre-screening of Planes: Fire & Rescue in 3D. I had never seen the first Planes, but the movie still made sense. It was a really cute movie! (Much better than Cars 2! )   Thursday and Friday were spent packing and getting ready for our trip to Disney World!!! On Saturday, Nathan, Maestro,…

Flight Trampoline Park

Last week I had the opportunity to visit Flight Trampoline Park in Springfield, VA. I had never been to any trampoline place before, and I was pleasantly surprised! When you first get to Flight, you fill out a waiver and purchase your flight tickets. The cost depends on the age and how long you would like to jump. We ended up staying an hour, and it was a perfect amount of time! Flight has over 50 connected wall-to-wall trampolines!!! It is a very large building and there is…

What’s Up Wednesday

This past week brought fun-filled activities! Here is a snapshot of what I did, with many upcoming full posts to come with more details! On Wednesday I hung out with my nephews! We went to TopGolf and had a good time hitting the targets. They were actually pretty good at aiming and it was a fun time! Thursday through Saturday brought along a juice cleanse from South Block Cafe. I will be doing a full write up on my experience soon, along with a giveaway for…

Glowstick 5k

On Saturday night, my niece Ellie and I went to Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg for a Glowstick 5k night race. We decided to be festive and wear tutus. We also stopped at the Dollar Tree and picked up some glow-gear so we would be appropriately glowing. It was a great 5k. It wasn’t too hot and the course was nice. We ran 1 minute/walked 2 minutes and it worked out nicely with a finish time of 45 minutes. A good portion of the race…
